Ghosts Revisited

It was there all along.

State I - Invitation

Invitation
S. Neukom
  • on trodden ground I flee
    knocking at my eyes
I sense this breath, a ghost
    taking me to see

    can't shake this dream
    rain hits my sleeve
    I stand alone
    take her hand and go

    I can't remember
    this sordid tender
    that took me places
    this last November

    this is no languid dream
    your inner root and tree
I'm here to set them free
    walk with me and see

    adventure lies within
    your proposition intrigues
    but first I ask:
why have you come for me

to show this dream as life
    would have it now?
    this trodden path, unknown
    knocking at my future

    unveiled by the ghost
    take her hand and go
    let's shake my being
    rain waits our coat

    let's stand together
    take her hand and go

    I can't remember
    this sordid tender
    that took me places
    this last November

    my friend and mentor
    show me the faster
    way to this pasture
    walk with me and see
